I’m Nikki

I am a Brooklyn-based illustrator, designer, and author who explores the connection between people and plants. My work is rooted in emotion and informed by my studies of ecology, spirituality, and activism. My primary materials are brush and ink, and I am fascinated with making ink from natural pigments.

I hold an MFA in Illustration from the Fashion Institute of Technology in New York City. My first book, Sentient Sidewalk: Lessons From New York City’s Wild Medicinal Plants, has been recognized by American Illustration and 3x3 International Illustration. My clients include TIME Magazine, the ACLU, and the Asian Pacific American Institute for Congressional Studies. I enjoy working on books, editorials, brand designs, animations, and multimedia experiences.
